Making a gadget visible only to the blog administrator

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">And the post title says it all. There are gadgets that sometimes we want to be visible only to us and not to our blog readers, perhaps a Survey already ended that we want to keep, a counter, or any gadget that while we customize, we don't want anyone else to see until the final result is ready.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NaN0y8IN3zijHyMNdaVtluRpNJC7WBw14dzMxLELuOrpRlQcEnS8q1yvkVlqbA8vWia2hBssYVQbmvrmyQnX_17TUQue1ICOtb_F2Etecu1qtAh4CiS0mQMZCnyhPafzG4E2AxZTPElG/s1600/blogger_widgets_visible_only_to_admin.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="blogger widgets, blogger tutorials" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NaN0y8IN3zijHyMNdaVtluRpNJC7WBw14dzMxLELuOrpRlQcEnS8q1yvkVlqbA8vWia2hBssYVQbmvrmyQnX_17TUQue1ICOtb_F2Etecu1qtAh4CiS0mQMZCnyhPafzG4E2AxZTPElG/s1600/blogger _widgets_visible_only_to_admin.jpg" title="Make a blogger widget visible only to admin " /></a></div> The procedure is simple, we just have to add two lines to our gadget that we want to hide.<br /><br />First thing to do is to go to <b>Template > Edit HTML</b> and then search for the gadget's code we want to hide. It will be easier using the CTRL + F keys and locating the name of the gadget/widget.<br /><br />For example, in a HTML/Javascript gadget, we will see a code like this:<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq"><b:widget id='HTML1' locked='false' title='' type='HTML'><br /><b:includable id='main'><br /><span style="color: #cc0000;"><span class='item-control blog-admin'></span><br /><!-- only display title if it's non-empty --><br /><b:if cond='data:title != &quot;&quot;'><br /><h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2><br /></b:if><br /><div class='widget-content'><br /><data:content/><br /></div><br /><br /><b:include name='quickedit'/><br /><span style="color: #cc0000;"></span></span><br /></b:includable><br /></b:widget></blockquote>All you have to do is add the parts in red and ready. If you close the session go to your blog you'll not be able to view the gadget that you have hidden, but as soon as you sign in you will see that it is visible to you.<br /><br />Not all gadgets have the same structure like in my example, but it will be easier to guide you, just place the first code in red <u>just after</u> <b><b:includable id='main'></b><br /><br />And the second red code <u>just before</u> <b></b:includable></b><br /><b>Note: </b>to look inside the widget's code, click on the sideways arrow next to the widget's id.<br /><br />And with that the gadget will be hidden for readers except you.</div>

How to Post Blogger Automatically to Facebook

For some reason in the back of my mind this was as simple as using email notification to the Facebook email-to-post feature, or using <a href="http://www.feedburner.com/" target="_blank">Google's Feedburner</a>.<br /><br />Well, I was quite wrong about this. Trying to use the email-to-post feature in Facebook only added the blog name and title to my Facebook wall with no content or links. From Feedburner, it looked like Facebook might work but they're only supporting Twitter in their socialize feature.<br /><br />Now, there are a number of Facebook plug-ins such as <a href="http://www.rssgraffiti.com/" target="_blank">RSS Graffiti</a> you can use to grab your blogger RSS feed and post it to your wall. However, I found another tool so useful that I think this might be the easiest path for anyone to use.<br /><a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a><br /><h3>If This then That - or, If Blogger then Facebook</h3>A new online utility has appeared that can simply move your social postings around between sites called <a href="http://ifttt.com/">IFTTT.com</a> (or, in other words, If This, Then That). It is so incredibly intuitive and easy to use that I had no issues setting it up. <br /><br />I won't lead you on how to setup an account - you'll just need a user name and password - that's very easy to do. As you start you'll just need to activate and register your Blogger account and select your desired blog like this:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjMeMeKR_FQ7xEunS78t2-Oj8ngXmd0SXojxqCZLIVAyPMRBIz7wdRrbN2XyJM1dQm4EShSxel9GHtLsi5PZA7GGjfFrMFMiyzxHbbCddmLMa5Pv3qkJwuZw4LStf5xIm6rF8lt1oCPjA/s1600/blogger-facebook-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Activate your Blogger account" border="0" height="169" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjMeMeKR_FQ7xEunS78t2-Oj8ngXmd0SXojxqCZLIVAyPMRBIz7wdRrbN2XyJM1dQm4EShSxel9GHtLsi5PZA7GGjfFrMFMiyzxHbbCddmLMa5Pv3qkJwuZw4LStf5xIm6rF8lt1oCPjA/s320/blogger-facebook-001.jpg" title="" width="320" /></a></div><br />And then tie your Blogger blog to the IFTTT account: <br /><br /><b></b> <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxJjixirZrzzjgqjMDclWYeUbJRQLfYzdcw1YqEBR8q7wbgzbuEBy_yeqf1w5y0itfqOWLWIX7oS-2ZHHk2jKEwOzcZFaaRL2EjCy0PL4BXQLdvu6a4Kcs9dJw8T0D5YFQT-lqLyUnB80/s1600/blogger-facebook-002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Tie your Blogger Blog to IFTTT" border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxJjixirZrzzjgqjMDclWYeUbJRQLfYzdcw1YqEBR8q7wbgzbuEBy_yeqf1w5y0itfqOWLWIX7oS-2ZHHk2jKEwOzcZFaaRL2EjCy0PL4BXQLdvu6a4Kcs9dJw8T0D5YFQT-lqLyUnB80/s320/blogger-facebook-002.jpg" title="" width="237" /></a></b></div><b>Once registered your first step is to <b>'Create a </b>Recipe'</b> - and in our case it is going to be from Blogger to Facebook:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBRFSa2d8ZpUjBLVNOweveDdyYF6mbtPwzUTIjAVR7iny3x7lyayF6_jy8r3BlAxy7KSPl48f01-7NPVhyphenhyphenXDpVymxSK5bG5WjQsjGr6aWM2VJYAIs9edyR-eOpuBqHsQBqJRq08Wt7H-s/s1600/blogger-facebook-10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Using IFTTT" border="0" height="128" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBRFSa2d8ZpUjBLVNOweveDdyYF6mbtPwzUTIjAVR7iny3x7lyayF6_jy8r3BlAxy7KSPl48f01-7NPVhyphenhyphenXDpVymxSK5bG5WjQsjGr6aWM2VJYAIs9edyR-eOpuBqHsQBqJRq08Wt7H-s/s400/blogger-facebook-10.jpg" title="" width="400" /></a></div><br /><br />Simply click on the blue '<b>this</b>' text to select Blogger as you source choice:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1IMQpa-SFundNof8B4RGz0hp4AZWvRVvW0U2OP5slatMQl0zVlgen-ZYGt5n01NK71pocejBm2i4IPGr41-ANpFXDAZqxu2blOCS6mUJxWEalPsj5TxEQmgzaauNNFwVDRnC262yEanY/s1600/blogger-facebook-12.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Selecting Blogger as the This Choice" border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1IMQpa-SFundNof8B4RGz0hp4AZWvRVvW0U2OP5slatMQl0zVlgen-ZYGt5n01NK71pocejBm2i4IPGr41-ANpFXDAZqxu2blOCS6mUJxWEalPsj5TxEQmgzaauNNFwVDRnC262yEanY/s400/blogger-facebook-12.jpg" title="" width="400" /></a></div><br />You can see that there are many options for source - I've highligted the Blogger button. There are some great options here - but, for our tutorial just click on the '<b>Facebook</b>' icon:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgal4pCzLOrPic1QvonmjXqzpCz_x3xeC_Mknooa7asnEx4K_XFPt_jagiyKfADaJVRkKxD3TiYg7NzTJue-IgHd2H1Qffk8NuE7Fym6pzTRd4fs9cw0JngK6cIuhhQ9tAMfmIXYyT8_dU/s1600/blogger-facebook-16.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="237" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgal4pCzLOrPic1QvonmjXqzpCz_x3xeC_Mknooa7asnEx4K_XFPt_jagiyKfADaJVRkKxD3TiYg7NzTJue-IgHd2H1Qffk8NuE7Fym6pzTRd4fs9cw0JngK6cIuhhQ9tAMfmIXYyT8_dU/s400/blogger-facebook-16.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />If this is your first time into IFTTT then you'll need to register your Facebook account much like how you did your Blogger account. <b>Be sure you're logged into your desired Facebook account first.</b><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN1D-A8URcHk_fDAlRnwV308xh73x5grCTMd1rHB5CG_aRlIc9jOXbYNfcB7-3RMrKB1yMv3tojpUf-swSJX0qA_KGg1p06ZffGbweyK_AsqtJkFAOuVrnS34xDp-12CJlN-xbTOh2VxQ/s1600/blogger-facebook-003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Activate your Facebook account" border="0" height="206" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN1D-A8URcHk_fDAlRnwV308xh73x5grCTMd1rHB5CG_aRlIc9jOXbYNfcB7-3RMrKB1yMv3tojpUf-swSJX0qA_KGg1p06ZffGbweyK_AsqtJkFAOuVrnS34xDp-12CJlN-xbTOh2VxQ/s400/blogger-facebook-003.jpg" title="" width="400" /></a></div><br />Now you'll have to make a selection if you want the Blogger post to be fully copied to Facebook, or, just a link back to the blog. I prefer the second option '<b>Create a link post</b>'  - but you make your choice:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNQbSvL8JiYb70hi2HLV05b1RaNSN4lr947MDZE_4-3DSfEAsy5ag7uiPWB7MZj9cAEF3StXlMHhYlKFzQF4d4OxDIs4cntRGEjNZPqbFcz4X1nrBGAMReGfwPtoz_SyIwXZ03NcFGKNM/s1600/blogger-facebook-17.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Triggering an Action to Post to Facebook" border="0" height="119" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNQbSvL8JiYb70hi2HLV05b1RaNSN4lr947MDZE_4-3DSfEAsy5ag7uiPWB7MZj9cAEF3StXlMHhYlKFzQF4d4OxDIs4cntRGEjNZPqbFcz4X1nrBGAMReGfwPtoz_SyIwXZ03NcFGKNM/s400/blogger-facebook-17.jpg" title="" width="400" /></a></div><br />This is the tricky part - how you want the message formatted on your Facebook page. You can certainly experiment with this - but, you'll want to Create an Action that has the URL in the link field and the subject with your own text mixed with your blog post: <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2hr9-uCM4DGFbb0OyjAjE_4_9q5Ib2lBqRevWxHXBjvZOdjaHZo6jvYud5UNL5PIC4QXTkGePElrL5ECElGqmMlAonIk4IMkMB8w-Ioem-t6573SL6UKr834_59pJLHJ7DxQ6kNo1BRs/s1600/blogger-facebook-18.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Action Fields for Facebook Wall" border="0" height="311" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2hr9-uCM4DGFbb0OyjAjE_4_9q5Ib2lBqRevWxHXBjvZOdjaHZo6jvYud5UNL5PIC4QXTkGePElrL5ECElGqmMlAonIk4IMkMB8w-Ioem-t6573SL6UKr834_59pJLHJ7DxQ6kNo1BRs/s400/blogger-facebook-18.jpg" title="" width="400" /></a></div><br />Just press 'Create Action' when done and you should have something like this:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3Wvm-RsBmNpjrSTPNDOaIufRbWLblK-P7UreYvnqUPDDIQ13ShPJWXSFG3EXHvQvnE0PqdoTGF759tVd4mr9oYRKGmxLJ_t5wd4w-L2e5J0_V8Ri0AgTAFh67S0ewT5QcvPcWj1pDS9s/s1600/blogger-facebook-19a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Final Blogger to Facebook Action" border="0" height="257" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3Wvm-RsBmNpjrSTPNDOaIufRbWLblK-P7UreYvnqUPDDIQ13ShPJWXSFG3EXHvQvnE0PqdoTGF759tVd4mr9oYRKGmxLJ_t5wd4w-L2e5J0_V8Ri0AgTAFh67S0ewT5QcvPcWj1pDS9s/s400/blogger-facebook-19a.jpg" title="" width="400" /></a></div>You can see I used the PostContent field - but, you certainly don't have to fill your wall with the full Blogger post.  Your connection is now ready!!<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi81cmuigrHRH0ow3POyeHUdmepJIdl3fZbTnX-vNBS0wXBfiOGafMT37xMvft6D_m9_LUOLHO7ptD62zNNf2aHrLVFoskRBzFs-XmRlwAObZadD3nKy2sQBv9coFhvVxt2Xvp5z-bdkaw/s1600/blogger-facebook-20.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="If Blogger then Facebook" border="0" height="173" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi81cmuigrHRH0ow3POyeHUdmepJIdl3fZbTnX-vNBS0wXBfiOGafMT37xMvft6D_m9_LUOLHO7ptD62zNNf2aHrLVFoskRBzFs-XmRlwAObZadD3nKy2sQBv9coFhvVxt2Xvp5z-bdkaw/s400/blogger-facebook-20.jpg" title="" width="400" /></a></div><br />Now that your link is active you can test it by posting to Blogger, then jumping over to IFTTT.com and clicking on the Recipe you just created and selecting the '<b>Check</b>' button on the right side of the screen like so:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgizF4CjGmQE21A36fKAx9Om-bbUx3msASW1ADiJVQhBenGekoXXf60X7eeOZdJ2E_dkSY7I1J1W1Cs8IF5kKbQJPoAz8_aGTgs6WMo1NAYnfbMaPC32uAiISHlMAjkFMSe2FyODtUd64E/s1600/blogger-facebook-21.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgizF4CjGmQE21A36fKAx9Om-bbUx3msASW1ADiJVQhBenGekoXXf60X7eeOZdJ2E_dkSY7I1J1W1Cs8IF5kKbQJPoAz8_aGTgs6WMo1NAYnfbMaPC32uAiISHlMAjkFMSe2FyODtUd64E/s1600/blogger-facebook-21.jpg" /></a></div>This normally runs every 15 minutes - but, by clicking on Check your post will appear on Facebook in seconds.<br /><br />A Great tool in my mind!  Enjoy!!</div></div></div>

Either way, set up the name by going to Settings --> Publishing ---> Publish on a custom domain. You can choose either to register with Blogger or you can </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">use another registration site (if you do, follow the "Switch to advanced settings" instructions).</span><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br /><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. Blogger or Wordpress? Why I am Sticking with Blogger

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div class="post-body entry-content" itemprop="articleBody"><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">W</span></b>hich blogging platform should a beginner blogger use? Many different platforms exist, but the two most popular ones are Blogger and Wordpress.<br /><br />People use Blogger because it's free, easy to use, and they can start blogging immediately. Many blogging authorities urge authors and illustrators to use Wordpress.org (requiring self-hosting) because it gives them full ownership of their blog. Wordpress has powerful features, but I'm sticking with Blogger for these reasons:<br /><br /><b>1. From a design standpoint, I can tweak a Blogger blog in multiple ways, while I'm limited to the Wordpress themes.</b><br /><br /><br /><br />I like how I can start with a standard Blogger template and tweak every element, from the header, to the page labels, to the fonts, backgrounds, and colors:<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiVeoLimwRYVt6DV9rK30ZqClxDZNP_9_zYv-dPGmDdmnxE0Ih6GBDVf6tCiPeKRkXyRMdk-1h66koloR97Xy_hI1rbSqjj4_-noVKOo1wYfkx3fKVuRNJvfOuWG8zuR0d6glQ7wXYrb68/s1600/templatedesign.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="118" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiVeoLimwRYVt6DV9rK30ZqClxDZNP_9_zYv-dPGmDdmnxE0Ih6GBDVf6tCiPeKRkXyRMdk-1h66koloR97Xy_hI1rbSqjj4_-noVKOo1wYfkx3fKVuRNJvfOuWG8zuR0d6glQ7wXYrb68/s400/template design.png" width="400" /></a></div><br />I can also drag and drop "gadgets" or elements anywhere in the blog. If I want a less traditional look, I can use dynamic views (to see any Blogger blog in dynamic view, add "/view" to the end of the website address).<br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr></tbody></table><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"></td></tr></tbody></table></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h3><span style="font-size: large;"><b>2. Blogger gadgets provide every "plug in" I need</b>.</span></h3></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="post-body entry-content" itemprop="articleBody"><br />Wordpress supporters love the plug-ins available to make their sites more functional. As someone who showcases my work and writes articles, I haven't found anything I wanted that wasn't easily available as a Blogger gadget or added through HTML code.  For example, some of the gadgets on my sidebar are:<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq"><ul><li><u>Picture links:</u> I post a photo that is clickable to another link. My Etsy shop is accessible this way.</li></ul></blockquote><blockquote class="tr_bq"><ul><li><u>Popular posts</u>: I can show a list of the blog's all time, monthly, or weekly posts, with thumbnails. </li></ul></blockquote><blockquote class="tr_bq"><ul><li><u>Custom HTML gadgets:</u> Blogger includes social media sharing buttons on each post.</li></ul></blockquote><br /><b>3. Blogger is free without ads</b>.<br /><br />If I never want to spend a penny on my blog, I don't have to.  If I were to use Wordpress.com, I could do so for free, but Wordpress can run ads on my blog over which I have no control. If I were to use Wordpress.org, I would have to pay for my domain name and hosting. Hosting is not that expensive, but it is a recurring expense.<br /><br /><b>4. Blogger is part of the Google family</b>.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOj9N_82Bvfiu_FrfXXNvR-Oxf08BKD4Ex7pbrPWm1IZVfJfm6HjefzkPMrh_Z5k4VKrfgDSSG4QPMyBXNpS-1ThSKixd5Zn0OPOD_9V22utBQp5drJptPnG3_ff01X6DF-OD2z1c1qfq1/s1600/google+logo.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOj9N_82Bvfiu_FrfXXNvR-Oxf08BKD4Ex7pbrPWm1IZVfJfm6HjefzkPMrh_Z5k4VKrfgDSSG4QPMyBXNpS-1ThSKixd5Zn0OPOD_9V22utBQp5drJptPnG3_ff01X6DF-OD2z1c1qfq1/s1600/google+ logo.png" width="320" /></a></div><br />Because Blogger is part of the Google family, blogs are supported by Google's resources. Other Google products like Adsense, Google Drive, Google+, Apps, Picassa Web Albums, Feedburner, and more, are integrated with Blogger. Google continues to provide new features for Blogger blogs like the ability to set one's own permalink or <a href="http://buzz.blogger.com/2013/04/bringing-google-comments-to-blogger.html">bringing Google+ comments into your blog</a>.<br /><br /><u>One downside</u> of having a blog on Blogger is that while you own the content, you do not own the actual blog. Therefore, you must abide by Google's terms of service or face a risk that Google can delete your blog at its discretion (generally, for spam or pornographic sites). That is a risk I'm willing to take, as I doubt that a children's illustration site will come close to raising any Google red flags. <br /><br /><b>5. I don't need to worry about security or bandwidth. </b><br /><br />If I use a self-hosted Wordpress site, I need to keep up with security updates to make sure the site doesn't get hacked, but I don't have the time or inclination to learn about that. With Blogger, Google takes care of security, and it has a good system of screening for spam.<br /><br />Also, if one of my posts goes crazily viral, Google will have enough bandwidth to accommodate the additional traffic without shutting down the site.<br /><b><br /></b><b>6. It's a wash for SEO.</b><br /><b><br /></b><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHSH99VIDRvtmSDHABs6obhLOmAnL0PdaVWWZtEXmHtsFIXmgIkkK74CHlQWuoSfAzD0ksRyc0KHQP4F68Pltek15L4ODffyNvheCVFS9vJK9KWqKfIZ0zkH-6enJuGQqnXCJOPL136IgA/s1600/SEO+illo.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="147" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHSH99VIDRvtmSDHABs6obhLOmAnL0PdaVWWZtEXmHtsFIXmgIkkK74CHlQWuoSfAzD0ksRyc0KHQP4F68Pltek15L4ODffyNvheCVFS9vJK9KWqKfIZ0zkH-6enJuGQqnXCJOPL136IgA/s200/SEO+illo .png" width="200" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br />There's debate about whether Blogger or Wordpress is better for SEO (Search Engine Optimization), but bloggers shouldn't be obsessing over SEO. If a blogger is posting good, fresh content that brings repeated visitors, SEO will take care of itself. But if one is concerned about it, Blogger has introduced <a href="http://blogger.com/2012/03/customize-your-search-preferences.html">several tools to optimize searches, including setting search preferences, meta tags, and making custom error (404) pages</a>.<br /><span style="font-size: large;"><b><br /></b><b><u>...........................................................................................................</u></b></span><b><br /></b><br /><br /><br />What do you think?  Some friends use Weebly to make nice looking websites. Others use Tumblr. What other good options have you found? What are your reasons for choosing the platform you did?<br /><br /></div></div><span style="font-size: large;"><b><u>...........................................................................................................</u></b></span><b><br /></b><br /><br /><br /></div>
